Making Pelvic Health More Accessible: Everbloom Now In-Network with BCBS & Aetna

For too long, women in Sanford and the Sandhills have had a choice that didn’t feel like a choice:

Drive into the Triangle for pelvic health therapy covered by insurance…
or…
wait weeks to be seen by a large medical system in town.

Neither option reflects the kind of care — or accessibility — that our community deserves.

That’s why I’m proud to share a major step forward:

🌿 Everbloom Pelvic Health is now in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield commercial plans as of December 12, 2025.
🌿 Aetna commercial plans will be in-network starting January 15, 2026.

This means more women can receive the pelvic health care they need without travel, delays, or overwhelming out-of-pocket costs.

Why I Decided to Contract with Insurance

When I first opened Everbloom, I was fully private pay — and there are many great things about that model. But I kept meeting women who deeply needed pelvic floor care and simply couldn’t afford it, even if they desperately wanted to prioritize their health.

I believe pelvic health therapy should never feel like a luxury.
It should feel like support, healing, and relief — accessible to the women who need it most.

Accepting select insurance plans allows me to:

  • reduce financial barriers

  • offer care sooner in someone’s healing journey

  • serve more women right here in Sanford

  • be part of the solution to improving maternal and women’s health care in our community

Because healing isn’t something you should have to put off.

Why Only BCBS and Aetna?

Right now, Everbloom is a one-woman practice. That means every minute spent fighting insurance paperwork is a minute not spent providing care.

To protect the quality, personalization, and safety of this space, I’m choosing to contract with two carriers that are widely used in our community — and do it really well.

As Everbloom grows, I may explore additional contracts (and possibly welcome another pelvic floor therapist to join the practice!), but for now:
BCBS + Aetna = the best balance of access + sustainability.

What About TRICARE?

Military families are a huge part of our community — and of my heart.

I am currently actively working toward becoming a non-preferred provider with TRICARE, which means:

  • I can see TRICARE beneficiaries out-of-network, and

  • I can provide a superbill so clients may seek reimbursement from TRICARE

This allows me to serve military spouses sooner, even before network formalities are complete.

If you have TRICARE and want to work with Everbloom, please reach out. We’ll walk through your options together.

Cash-Based vs Insurance-Based Care: What’s the Difference?

Both models offer benefits — and the right choice depends on your priorities.

Insurance-Based Care

Pros

  • Lower out-of-pocket cost for many clients

  • Helps remove financial barriers to starting care

  • Encourages early intervention vs “waiting until it’s unbearable”

Cons

  • Insurance may limit visit frequency or duration

  • Certain treatments may require authorization or proof of “medical necessity”

  • Coverage varies based on plan, deductible, and exclusions

Cash-Based Care

Pros

  • Total freedom in treatment choices — no insurance restrictions

  • Longer, more collaborative sessions

  • No surprise bills or denials

  • You can submit superbills for potential reimbursement (especially with TRICARE)

Cons

  • Higher upfront cost for many clients

  • Financial stress may delay or limit care

At Everbloom, you don’t have to navigate this alone. I’ll help you:

  • check your benefits

  • understand your coverage

  • choose the best option for your situation and your goals

Healing should never be confusing.

What This Means for You

Whether you’re navigating:

  • postpartum recovery

  • pelvic pain

  • bladder leakage

Becoming in-network isn’t just a business decision.
It’s a heart decision.

It’s about giving you a place where:

  • you feel supported in your body’s healing

  • insurance coverage is finally on your side
